a processual struggle
The artwork explores a dialogue between presence and transience through the use of charcoal and bricks - materials that symbolize the fundamental elements of both nature and civilization. By sketching with charcoal on paper, supported by bricks as a base, I create traces and textures that evoke both growth and erosion. These materials, already part of the space, carry an inherent weight, grounding the work in something raw and earthy.

In the moment of creation, I immerse myself in the process and the interplay between the weight and character of the materials, forming a sense of closeness and authenticity. The drawings emerge as a blend of accidental and controlled movements, emphasizing a dynamic interplay between human behavior and the need for expression.
