This installation is part of a larger exhibition and unfolds through a layered material language of plaster, collage, oil pastels, charcoal, negative print, and graphic illustrations. It reflects on structural injustice and the romanticized visions of future solutions — particularly the ambition to “eradicate poverty by 2030.” Through fragmented imagery and tactile surfaces, the work explores a complex entanglement of lack - lack of resources, of knowledge, of fairness.
The result is a visual and material tension: unsettling, unfinished, and difficult to resolve.
It holds space for doubt. For anger. For quiet insistence.
At its core is a Danish poem, written as a reaction and reflection:
afskaf fattigdom,
En 2030 romantisering
Jeg reflekterer
uretfærdighed
manglende ressourcer
manglende viden
resultatet er
forudroligende
udfordrende
ufuldent
